LESZEK SIKON

BLACKSMITH

“I ended up on Google one day, and just typed in ‘blacksmith’…The next thing I knew, I’d quit my job and started training. It was a big move, but it’s paid off.”

After years of stagnating within the four walls of a corporate environment, Polish-born Leszek turned his hands to creating bespoke objects from the unlikeliest material – ammunitions.

Inspired by a story of how household items were confiscated by the government to make weapons during the first and second World Wars, Leszek reverses the process by smelting the steel of reclaimed munitions from this time.

By combining traditional blacksmithing techniques with modern design, Leszek crafts things that were once designed for destruction into tools of beauty and creation.
