“It’s all about creating unexpected moments of happiness. My little gardens are a respite from the greyness of London.”
Tired of the cramped, indoors city lifestyle to which we’ve all grown accustomed, Steve Wheen decided to break free and use his knowledge of plants to inject a little fun into the city.
The Pothole Gardener project creates unexpected moments of fun amongst the greyness of the Capital, building surreal miniature floral worlds in potholes across London.
The flower arrangements typically only last for a few hours before being destroyed, but for that short time, Steve can feel assured he’s made a positive contribution to people’s lives.
