“It doesn’t matter what’s going on in your personal life, you can just go on and dance and live in the moment.”
From the moment Sarah first started ballet at the age of six, she knew she’d found her freedom. And as her career took shape, her remarkable talent helped her to rise above the stereotypes in a world where ethnic minorities rarely make an impact.
Showing your body is often frowned upon in Indian culture, but Sarah’s family gave her the confidence to follow what she knew was right for her. A trait which has helped her become a role model for young Asian women up and down the UK.
