“There is magic and beauty in everything – working with horses is my way to express it, make it visible and share it with others. It’s my pure passion.”

Born to German-Afghan parents, Simin Nadjafi was just two years old when she climbed atop her first horse. And it wasn’t long before she realised that her exceptional ability with these beautiful creatures went much deeper than just being a skilled rider.

Over the years she’s developed a unique understanding and method for taming them, combining careful eye contact with an innate understanding of body language to form a fluid, almost instinctual bond.

Coaxing the horses into the water, Simin creates a relationship built on trust and mutual respect rather than force, accelerating elements of their learning from weeks to just hours.

For Simin, the strength of her methods lies in the rediscovery of the intuitive communication that all animals rely on, but that we, as humans, have long forgotten. Because it’s only once we understand where we’ve come from that we can truly understand ourselves.
